Chimney services in Dublin, from a sweep to a rebuild
Most chimney visits start with cleaning. That can mean a full sweep, flue cleaning, creosote removal, or clearing blockages such as debris or nesting animals. If something smells off when the fireplace sits unused, chimney odor removal is part of the same work.
Sometimes you need to know the condition of a flue rather than just clean it. Our chimney inspection service covers standard chimney and fireplace inspections, camera inspections of the flue, real estate inspections for buyers and sellers, and checks after storm damage. If the inspection turns up a problem, chimney repair covers leaks, flashing, waterproofing, crown repair, tuckpointing, liner repair or a new liner, damper repair, prefab chase work and full rebuilds.
Caps and screens keep rain, animals and sparks out of the flue. If yours is missing or rusted through, read how chimney cap installation works. We also replace caps and chase covers and install animal screens and spark arrestors.
Fireplace, gas fireplace and dryer vent work
For fireplaces, we clean fireplaces, inserts and wood stoves. We repair fireboxes, smoke chambers, refractory panels, glass and doors, as well as wood-burning and electric units. We also fix draft problems and restore older fireplaces. If you want a change, we install new fireplaces, inserts and doors, convert fireplaces from one fuel to another, and replace worn-out prefab units.
Gas fireplace and gas appliance work is offered. That includes gas fireplace repair, routine service and maintenance, new gas fireplace installation, gas logs and gas line installation.
Dryer vents are a separate job. We clean vents, test airflow, remove lint and blockages, and clean vents that exit through the roof. We also repair, replace or reroute vent runs that are too long or badly routed, and replace damaged exterior vent covers. Commercial and property-manager work is offered.
Which visit to book first
If you aren't sure where to start, find what you're noticing below and book the visit listed next to it:
- Smoke drifting into the room or a fire that won't draw: a fireplace draft check, or a camera look inside the flue to find what's in the way.
- Water stains on the ceiling or wall near the chimney: leak, flashing or crown repair.
- Scratching or chirping in the flue: animal and nest removal, then a cap or screen so it doesn't happen again.
- Clothes taking two cycles to dry or a hot laundry room: a dryer vent inspection with airflow testing.
- Buying or selling a home with a fireplace: a real estate chimney inspection.
