Chimney services in Belvedere: what you can book
The work falls into one of six kinds of work. Tell us what you're seeing or what you want done, and we'll plan the visit around it.
- Cleaning: chimney sweeps, flue cleaning and creosote removal, plus fireplace, insert and wood stove cleaning. We also clear blockages, remove odors and remove nesting animals.
- Inspections: a full chimney and fireplace inspection, camera inspections of the flue, inspections for home sales, and checks after a storm.
- Repairs: chimney repair for leaks, masonry, crowns and flashing, along with liner, damper, tuckpointing and prefab chase work.
- Caps and covers: installing a new chimney cap, cap replacement, animal screens, spark arrestors and chase covers.
- Fireplaces: wood-burning, electric and gas fireplace repair, restoration, inserts, glass doors, conversions, gas logs and gas line installation.
- Dryer vents: cleaning, airflow testing, lint and blockage removal, roof vent cleaning, repair, rerouting and vent cover replacement.
Not sure what your chimney needs?
If you haven't used the fireplace in a while, or you don't know when the chimney was last looked at, start with an inspection. An inspection shows whether a sweep alone will do or whether something like a cracked crown, worn flashing or a damaged liner needs attention first. That way you don't pay for a cleaning and then find a repair you could have handled in the same visit.
For dryer vents, warning signs include clothes that take more than one cycle to dry, a laundry room that gets unusually hot, or a burning smell while the dryer runs. If you smell burning, turn the dryer off and unplug it until the vent is checked. Any of these is a good reason to have the vent cleaned and its airflow tested.
